The Movie:
This movie was so great that the morning after I watched it, I had a hard time remembering what it was all about. I had high hopes for The Score because it stars two of my favorite actors, Edward Norton and Robert DeNiro, but it's just such a cliché heist movie with hardly anything unique about it that it just becomes a completely forgettable movie.
There's nothing here to keep you riveted to your seat in suspense, and the plot twists are so obvious that you know exactly how the movie is going to end before you're even half way through with it. The characters are so shallow, they are nearly robotic in their predictability. Just... don't watch this movie, it's not worth your time.
If you wanna see a heist movie that's actually good, with DeNiro starring as a bad ass, check out Heat or Ronin instead. You'll be glad you stayed away from this turd of a movie!
The DVD:
This disc features a slightly above average video transfer, with decent clarity, good color, and good shadow detail, but it's not going to knock your socks off or anything. Audio is average, with clean and easy to understand dialog, but like the movie itself, nothing that will leave any lasting impression on you. Special features include a trailer, some deleted/alternate footage, a commentary track by director Frank Oz, and a making-of documentary.
Basically, an entirely forgettable DVD release for an entirely forgettable movie.
