The Movie:
Wow, what a fun movie! This is the story of a tiny Irish village where an old man wins the lotto, but dies upon hearing the news. The town conspires to collect the money in his name and split it equally amongst themselves. It's a truly charming film that I don't quite want to call a comedy, but it has some quite hilarious moments! I highly recommend this movie to anyone!
The DVD:
This disc is kind of bizarre. The menus are in an anamorphic widescreen format, but the movie itself was not. What the heck!? Anyway, the film transfer looked great and was full of rich color which did the beautiful scenery justice. There were a few moments where I noticed gradient stepping artifacts, but other than that (and being letterboxed instead of anamorphic), there wasn't much to complain about in the video department. The 2.0 audio was adequate. Special features include cast bios and a theatrical trailer.
