Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (1988)
Studio: MGM/UA
MPAA Rating: PG
Run Time: 90 minutes

Audio Format:
Dolby Digital 5.1
Video Format:
2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen

The Movie: This movie is an 80's classic. It features what is probably Keanu Reeves' most believable performance ever, and Alex Winter (who looks to me suspiciously like Beavis).

10 years of "Woah!"

Full of 80's goodness, cheesy (by today's standards, but high tech for the time) special effects, and great characters, it's hard not to like this movie. How could you not like Abe Lincoln, Joan of Arc, Napoleon and Joan of Arc running amok in "modern day" San Dimas?

The DVD: The anamorphic transfer was pretty sharp, but included some spots, dust, and scratches, and was not as saturated as it could have been, but overall wasn't bad. The audio, though it claims to be 5.1, really is more like 3.1 -- for most of the movie, everything comes out of the front 3 channels and absolutely nothing comes out of the surround channels, except for some very specific special effects. It is however, reasonably clean. The only special feature to speak of is a theatrical trailer.
